The email hit your desk, an official notice from Autodesk Construction Cloud. For those of us running high-stakes construction operations, it was the sound of the bell tolling for the old regime.

The game is changing on January 27, 2026.

This is not a suggestion. This is a mandate. The Autodesk Construction Cloud iOS mobile app (v7.71.0 and above) is making a power move: The new minimum OS is iOS 17.

The Price of Admission Has Increased ๐Ÿ’ฐ

You want to run a tight, secure, and feature-rich operation? You need the best gear.

  • The Upgrade Mandate: You must step up from iOS 16 to iOS 17 or higher. This is the new minimum requirement to keep receiving all the new features and critical enhancements.

  • The Six-Month Fade Out: If a userโ€™s device canโ€™t run iOS 17, they get a temporary pass until July 2026. But be warned: this is a dead-end street. After that date, they will get NO bug fixes, NO security patches, and NO new features. They are running a vulnerable operation, ripe for a hostile takeover by glitches.

The ACC app is looking for allies with the best tech. If your team is stuck in the past, they are exposed.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Secure Your Empire: The Final Order

You are the admin. It’s time to send out the heavy hitters and secure the territory.

  1. Enforce the New Law: Work with IT to ensure all field devices can run iOS 17. Update your trainingโ€”this is the new policy.

  2. Order the Upgrade: Direct all teams to update to the latest ACC app and, crucially, to iOS 17.

  3. Sync or Sink: Best Practice Reminder: When the power shifts, protect your assets. Ensure team members are routinely syncing information so that the most recent data is always captured. Don’t leave your cash (your data) lying around unmanaged.

Don’t get caught with outdated tech when the action starts. Upgrade your devices. Secure your empire. Reach out to us with any update and workflow questions!
