Autodesk to Acquire BuildingConnected & Completes PlanGrid Acquisition

On Dec 20, 2018, Autodesk announced it completed the acquisition of PlanGrid and signed an agreement to acquire BuildingConnected, a leading platform for construction bid management. We expect the BuildingConnected acquisition to close by end January 2019.

BuildingConnected is the only bid management platform that provides general contractors and owners project-specific risk mitigation recommendations based on subcontractor qualification data. This helps contractors efficiently vet and make more informed decisions when selecting subcontractors, which is a critical piece of the construction process.

Over time, we will integrate workflows between PlanGrid, BuildingConnected and Autodesk technology for a comprehensive workflow from design to build to operate.

This news has been shared with BIM360 users and all construction customers
