BIM 360 Layout App Now Available for Next Gen Workflows

On August 21, 2019 the new Autodesk BIM 360 Layout app was released and is now available for download on the Google Play Store. The Layout app is included in the BIM 360 Coordinate package at no additional cost and is available on Android devices only. Unlike the existing iPad Layout app (which will remain available) that only synchronizes with classic BIM 360 Glue, the new Android Layout app connects to the BIM 360 Next Gen platform by hosting project models and point details via the Document Management module.

BIM 360 Layout provides construction contractors the ability to connect the coordinated model directly to the field layout process with robotic total stations and GPS devices, helping to increase job site productivity, reduce re-work and waste, while improving the accuracy of staked or installed building components.
