Upload Civil Objects to ArcGIS Online with the Autodesk Connector in Civil 3D 2020.1

Seiler Design Solutions presents the fourth in a series of videos featuring the Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS Online and how the data can be used in Autodesk Products.

In this video, we will show you how you can connect to and upload data from Civil 3D to ArcGIS Online, copying standard Civil 3D object properties to the online GIS layers. This data can be used by GIS Professionals in their maps and analyses and can be accessed by other design professionals for future design work.

We can create parcel data, alignments, COGO points, feature lines and more with data that is curated from your own ArcGIS Online account, or publicly available data from others and the ESRI Living Atlas. In the next video, we will continue with Civil 3D and create pipe networks from this data.

Autodesk Civil Engineering Data Translator available for download

Autodesk has released their newest Civil Engineering Data Translator for Civil 3D 2016-2019.  Unlike previous versions, this one is now a stand-alone program instead of an additional toolset within Civil 3D.

The Civil Engineering Data Translator allows customers to translate data back and forth between Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley Geopak or InRoads software. The data is limited to geometry COGO points and alignments and surface data.

Users will need to be signed in with their Autodesk account to use the software.

Using Style Rules in Autodesk Infraworks

Seiler Design Solutions presents how to utilize the power of Style Rules, in Autodesk Infraworks, to utilize standard or custom object properties and the expression editor to stylize your sourced or created data automatically.
