This video is a recording of Seiler Design Solutions monthly webinar series titled "Using the Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS Online in Civil 3D 2020.1" which was broadcast on Friday, October 25, 2019.

In this webinar, Seiler Design Solutions will demonstrate the organization, curation and use of GIS data utilizing the Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS Online. This data can be imported into your Civil 3D design as true civil objects.  Data from the completed project can be published back to ArcGIS Online to make our finished design information available to other projects or maps.

In this video, we will show you how you can connect to and upload data from Civil 3D to ArcGIS Online, copying standard Civil 3D object properties to the online GIS layers. This data can be used by GIS Professionals in their maps and analyses and can be accessed by other design professionals for future design work.

In this video, we will show you how you can create gravity pipe network Civil 3D data objects in Civil 3D 2020.1. We will connect to ArcGIS Online data that contain both pipe and structure layers with attributes we can map to standard Civil 3D pipe network attributes. We can fill in any missing data with default values allowing us to get a start in creating pipe networks for analysis or design.

Create a Civil 3D Surface from 2D GIS Contour Data

You have GIS contour data of a site in .SHP file format.  You import the data into your design only to find out it is in 2D.  How do you turn this 2D data into 3D data easily to create a Civil 3D surface

In the linked video, I will use Map 3D tools from within Civil 3d and show you how to import 2D contour data from a shapefile into a drawing, query the data to another drawing to elevate the imported polylines and finally create a Civil 3D surfrace from this data.
