Autodesk went further than just updating Inventor and its ease of use, but it even upgraded its installation and deployment.  I would assume that if these changes have not been incorporated into the rest of the Autodesk library, it will be soon.  These changes are things that might be a new direction for their installs.

This should be a bit of a different experience, but will still be very familiar.  It will be a simpler install process and should speed up the process of getting you up and running faster.  They have actually included in the install process the act of adding an icon to your desktop as soon as the basic install is done.  Once the shortcut pops up, you can open up your Inventor and start working right away.  The extra options will continue to install in the background while you are using the software.  The dialog box has changed slightly as well.

Here is something that is a pretty cool addition.  You actually can now install and uninstall the options for Inventor from the Windows Control Panel using the Inventor install popup.  You can access the install popup of the core Inventor program, as well, all within the Windows Control Panel.

I think the main differences you will notice is in its deployment options.  These will be seen by the CAD administrator on the manage.autodesk.com site.  The options for the install, like the specific version and the additional options, can be selected within the site and the deployment will only have the options selected.  Once configured on the site, a deployment can be generated for a quick and easy install.
