Upload Civil Objects to ArcGIS Online with the Autodesk Connector in Civil 3D 2020.1

Seiler Design Solutions presents the fourth in a series of videos featuring the Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS Online and how the data can be used in Autodesk Products.

In this video, we will show you how you can connect to and upload data from Civil 3D to ArcGIS Online, copying standard Civil 3D object properties to the online GIS layers. This data can be used by GIS Professionals in their maps and analyses and can be accessed by other design professionals for future design work.

Microdrones mdLidar1000 -- Bring drone based LiDAR data to your projects.

Does your project require the collection of a high volume of accurately collected scan data?

The Microdrones mdLiDAR1000 is an integrated system for producing accurate 3D point clouds optimized for land surveying, construction, oil & gas and mining applications.

Pipe Network Objects using the Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS in Civil 3D 2020.1

In this video, Seiler Design Solutions presents the third in a series of videos featuring the Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS Online and how the data can be used in Autodesk Products.

In this video, we will show you how you can create gravity pipe network Civil 3D data objects in Civil 3D 2020.1. We will connect to ArcGIS Online data that contain both pipe and structure layers with attributes we can map to standard Civil 3D pipe network attributes. We can fill in any missing data with default values allowing us to get a start in creating pipe networks for analysis or design.

Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS Online in Civil 3D 2020.1

In this video, Seiler Design Solutions presents the second in a series of videos featuring the Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS Online and how the data can be used in Autodesk Products.

In this video, we will show you how you can create Civil 3D data objects in Civil 3D 2020.1. We can create parcel data, alignments, COGO points, feature lines and more with data that is curated from your own ArcGIS Online account, or publicly available data from others and the ESRI Living Atlas. In the next video, we will continue with Civil 3D and create pipe networks from this data.

Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS for Map3D 2020

Seiler Design Solutions presents the first in a series of videos featuring the Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS Online and how the data can be used in Autodesk Products.

In this first video, we will show you how you can create rich feature data for use in creating a map for analysis and display for planning or other purposes. Data can be curated from your own ArcGIS Online account, or you can use publicly available data from others and the ESRI Living Atlas.

Export Civil 3D Objects to Google Earth

The need to share information in other formats is a necessity to our normal design workflows. In this video, Seiler Design Solutions will show you how to export Civil 3D objects to a Google Earth .KMZ or .KML file and view them in Google Earth.

This is applicable to civil engineers, planners, surveyors and designers fo visualizing Civil 3D drawings in Google Earth for sharing with others, visualization or other planning purposes.

Using Surface Snapshots in Civil 3D

At one time or another you may have opened a Civil 3D drawing sent to you and noticed, while viewing details of a surface in the Prospector tab of the Toolspace, what looks like a little camera icon next to the Definition section.  What does that little icon mean?

That icon stands for a surface snapshot, and in this article, I hope to help explain what a surface snapshot is and how it is used.

According to the Autodesk Civil 3D Help file:

AutoCAD 2020 Block Performance Hotfix

With the latest version of AutoCAD 2020, a new Block pallette gives new functionality in organizing, loading and placing blocks in your drawing.

However, when opening drawings containing a large number of blocks, there is a definite slowdown while the drawing is organized to catalog these new blocks. To alleviate some of the delays, Autodesk has issued a Hotfix for AutoCAD 2020.
