Incase you didn’t get this email and you’re using BIM 360, here’s a little update change in name and structure for BIM 360 Glue & Field.

On February 8, 2021, we are introducing a set of navigation changes in the product header for BIM 360 projects on the next-gen platform (there will not be updates to the classic BIM 360 Field and BIM 360 Glue UIs).

These changes are being made to provide a more seamless experience between BIM 360 projects and projects hosted on the new Autodesk Construction Cloud platform (Autodesk Build, Autodesk Docs or Autodesk BIM Collaborate projects).

These changes will be pushed live between 9:00 – 11:59 p.m. PST on February 8th to all BIM 360 projects. We are providing you advance notice so that you can communicate these changes to your teams, but there is no action needed from you.

The navigation changes to the header will not have any impact on BIM 360 functionality or supported workflows. The UI changes include:

  • A new project picker that will list all projects that a logged in user has access to, with new icon indicators to represent the project as being on the BIM 360 platform or the unified Autodesk Construction Cloud platform
  • A change in icon for the BIM 360 module picker from the “nine dot” icon to an icon that represents the selected module
  • A reduction in the header height and shift of the in-module tool menu to the left of the screen and a more modern text format for improved usability

All content below the header is unchanged and product page URLs will remain the same

We will be posting an in-product notification to all users on February 8th to let them know of the planned changes.

If you have questions, please reach out to your account team.

Thank you,

The BIM 360 Team
