Autodesk continues to make upgrades to their product to allow you to do more things, but they also take into account how quickly things work or adapt to changes.

With all the updates that came in 2021, they also looked at making things work faster.  They took some time to work with the performance of large assemblies.  With these upgrades your productivity will increase with the help of reduced time required to place subassemblies in your assembly design.

They also updated your selection speed.  You will now see a faster response time when selecting multiple components, whether by the selection windows or component filtering.  To add to the enhancements to the visual response time they have made some updates to allow for quicker visibility changes, whether by directly turning items off or through your saved views.

If you use a lot of adaptive patterns in your assemblies, you will love this last bit.  They have increased the response time when you make changes to feature patterns in specific components in your assembly.  Your adaptive components that share a relationship with those patterns/components will update more quickly now.

I hope these improvements increase your productivity in Autodesk Inventor 2021.

Here is their video explaining these changes.
