The Autodesk Technology Manager Community

Started in 2020, the Autodesk Technology Manager Community was begun as a site specifically for those who are Technology Managers, and it is a great resource for information pertaining to all things Subscription, Account and Installation/Licensing related. In the years since its creation, it has received a lot of updates. Last month, a new feature was added, the Technology Manager Roadmap!

Here, you can see that the view of the page can be selected between three groupings:

  • Recently Launched – These projects are aimed at helping you save time with increased efficiency and more control.
  • In Progress – These projects are aimed at helping you save time with increased efficiency and more control.
  • Planned – These projects are aimed at helping you save time with increased efficiency and more control.

The main page has an abbreviated look at this road map as well.

In addition to this, there are many other great features that make this site worth visiting. Farther down the page on the main site is access to free learning resources provided by Autodesk. These help you stay current with any recent Autodesk developments.

There’s even a link to the Quick Start Guide, which contains links to several pieces of information, all designed to help you better understand your role as an Autodesk Account Administrator and will help you get up and running quickly with your new Autodesk subscription.

Some of the topics covered in this area are:

  • Understand what an Autodesk primary admin does and their value
  • Understand the subscription models
  • Assist users in understanding their Autodesk Account
  • Teach users how to download, install, and activate Autodesk software

Also, there’s a link to the Autodesk Community Forums, where you can converse with other Autodesk users and gain knowledge from Technology Managers from all over the world!

It is Autodesk’s hope that, “these additional resources are useful and engaging, where you come and share content and spend some time creating a network with others just like you.”

There’s even a link down near the bottom of the main page where you can submit your own suggestions for development directly to Autodesk!

I highly suggest you head over to the Autodesk Technology Manager Community and continue the path of educating yourself. Your company, co-workers, and peers will take notice when you’re the one in the room with all the right info.

Thanks for reading!
