With the ever growing list of technology and software out there, there’s inevitably going to be issues between them. Autodesk is no exception! Luckily Autodesk has compiled a list of known 3rd party applications, plugins, add-ins, or devices that can cause issues when installing, launching and, in some cases, working inside the software.

Common Errors

Some of the most common errors seen on the technical support side are listed below.

     

      • Error 1603

      • License checkout timed out

      • Install failed

      • Install incomplete

    Antivirus Software

    There are thousands of Antivirus products available, and these are the most listed type of third party applications that can cause the errors mentioned above. Being some of the most well-known antivirus software, those listed below are repeat offenders. And, again, check out this link for the full list of known antivirus software that can cause issues with Autodesk products.

       

        • McAfee

        • Norton

        • Webroot.

      If troubleshooting leads to the outcome that the error is due to an antivirus software, this article can walk you through how to set up exclusions for that particular antivirus.

      Devices

      Not only can different software applications cause issues, if the set up of the computer includes certain devices, they could be causing issues as well. Docking stations seem to be the biggest offender for the devices causing issues, including the specific docking stations listed below.
